Video Editor (Freelance/Contract)

As a Freelance/Contract Video Editor at Pacific Campaign House, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw footage into compelling and impactful video content that resonates with diverse communities. Working closely with our creative team, you will have the opportunity to craft visually stunning and emotionally resonant videos that drive our client’s message home.

Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing: Edit video content for a variety of digital platforms, ensuring that it aligns with the agency’s creative and strategic vision. This includes creating :30-:60 videos, mobile-first videos, and more.
  • Post-Production: Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and other post-production techniques to create visually stunning and engaging content.
  • Storytelling: Use your storytelling skills to craft narratives that captivate and connect with our target audiences. Incorporate cultural sensitivity and authenticity into video content.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our creative team, including art directors, copywriters, and designers, to ensure video content – including aesthetic, tone, and style – aligns with campaign objectives and client expectations.
  • Efficiency: Manage and organize video assets efficiently to streamline the editing process and meet project deadlines.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the final output meets the highest quality standards and is free from errors before delivering to clients or publishing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of video post-production processes, including color-correction, animation, and adherence to specific brand guidelines. 
  • Creativity and the ability to think visually, telling stories through video content.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clean, polished, high-quality work.
  • A passion for diversity and cultural sensitivity in advertising.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a remote team.

What makes you a good fit:

  • Nonprofit/Political Experience: You have extensive experience in creating mission-driven and community-focused content to persuade, mobilize, or convert audiences. 
  • Access to Video Resources: PCH maintains audio licensing and b-roll libraries, and it is not a requirement to have your own subscriptions. However, being able to work independently with your own tools and resources is a plus.
  • Time Management & Communication: You are meticulous in managing your schedule and communicating timelines, updates, and deliveries consistently and frequently.
